Fina power series representation for the function

f(x) = ln(1-3x)

Could you walk me step by step how to solve this problem? I'm struggling trying to get the right answer.

ln(1 + x) = x - x2/2 + x3/3 - x4/4 + ...


Replace x by -3x to get the power series for ln(1 - 3x).

it would be (-1)^n * 3x^n /n correct? If that is correct, it was counted incorrect by my homework.

You need parentheses around 3x and the summation goes from n=1 to infinity.
