Could also multiply 1st equation by -4, 2nd equation by 3.
-12d - 24f = -46.56
12d + 12f = 28.56
--------------------------
When you add, the "d" terms will cancel out, leaving the "f" factor to solve, etc.

3d + 6f = 11.64
4d + 4f = 9.52
3d + 6f = 11.64
d + f = 2.38, divide both sides of bottom equation by 4
3d + 6f = 11.64
d = 2.38 - f, subtract f from both sides of bottom equation
Can you substitute for d in upper equation, solve, and answer?
