In order to find the ordered pair, we must use the slope and y -intercept form.  First, we need to get the equation in

y = mx+b form, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

 

Divide both sides of equation by 2.

 

y = (5/2)x - 2

 

The slope is 5/2 and y-intercept is -2.  The slope is rise over run.  This means that the rise is 5 and the run is 2. Therefore, we will have a positive slope.  The y-intercept is the point on the y-axis.  This point will be (0, -2).  This is one ordered pair.  To find another ordered pair, we use the slope and the first point as our reference.  Move 2 units to the right from the first point.  The x value at this new point is 2.  Then move 5 units up.  The y value is 3.  This ordered pair is (2, 3).

 

Your ordered pairs are (0,-2) and (2,3).  If we draw a straight line connecting these points, we will find other ordered pairs.
