Fruit juice percentage

Question

A fruit punch that contains 60% fruit juice is combined with 100% fruit juice. How many ounces of each should be used to make 38 ounces of it make sure that is 80% fruit juice?

Let x = the amount of 60% fruit juice and y be the amount of 100% fruit juice.

x + y = 38

0.60x + 1.00y = 0.8(38) = 30.4
