= 188 x 8

= 1504

original price minus discount = discounted price

18800-1504

= $17296= the new price

Discount = (8%)(18800) = 0.08(18800) = $1504.

New price = 18800-Discount = 18800-1504 = $17296

Another way:

100% - 8% = 1.00 - 0.08 = 0.92

0.92(18800) = $17296
