grade 11 math question

A classmate from your e-summer class listed the following sequence of transformations of the parent function 𝑦 = 3 𝑥 into 𝑦 = 5 . 3 −(𝑥−2) + 9 : i. A vertical stretch by a factor of 5 ii. A reflection in y-axis iii. A horizontal translation by 2 units to the right iv. A vertical translation by 9 units up

y=3x to y=5,

stretch 5

y=15x

reflect over y axis

y=-15x

right 2

y=-15(x-2)

up 9

y=-15(x-2) +9

which doesn't =5 unless x = 39/15

try another tutor, something about the problem doesn't make sense to me

the 3-(x-2)+9 doesn't seem to fit in fully. it has the up 9 and right 2 and reflect ok

but not the stretch 5 part
