Which is bigger cos7 or cos1? (Radian)

Isn't pi R = 180 degrees

so 7R = 180/3.14 x 7 (1st quadrant)

and 1R = 180/3.14(1st quadrant)

in the graph cosx=y,

the first quadrant has the decreasing graph so shouldn't cos1 > cos 7 ?

the variable for cos is the angle measure from x-axis to line representing radius

it measures positive if the angle is counterclockwise. A measure of -45 degrees is clockwise 45 degrees away from x-axis.

positive 1 radian is 57.3 degrees counterclockwise, positive 7 radians is 401.1 degrees counterclockwise which means an extra 41.1 degrees past the x-axis.

As you say, in 1st quadrant bigger angle means decrease in cos.

cos(57,3 degree)<cos(41.1 degree)

same as

cos(1 radian)<cos(7 radian)
