Music Theory Mastery
Most rental arrangements include an instrument, bow, case and resin. In addition, you need a shoulder rest. Many shops have used appliances in like-new condition for reduced prices. You can also use a thick kitchen sponge and heavy-duty rubber band. Make sure the sponge is firm, not pre-moistened and doesn’t have a scrubber pad. If purchasing, make sure you acquire everything listed above.
Additionally, you should have a cleaning cloth*, metronome, tuner, and music stand. A spare set of strings is also a good idea.
*the cleaning cloth should be any soft, non-shedding material to clean the resin dust from your strings and instrument after playing. Microfiber works well, terrycloth does not.
