If Victor has 3 times as many stickers as Tammy, then he has 18 stickers.
If Victor has half as many stickers as Noel, then Noel has (18X2) 36 stickers.

asked 06/28/23Tammy has 6 stickers. Victor has 3 times as many stickers as Tammy but only half as many as Noel. How many stickers does Noel have?

Tammy has 6 stickers -> T = 6
Victor has 3 times as many stickers as Tammy -> V = 3T
Victor has half as many stickers as Noel -> V = 0.5N
So, we can set up the equation: V = 0.5N = 3T
-> N = 6T = 6*6 = 36
Noel has 36 stickers.

T = 6; V = 3T (Victor has 3 times as many as Tammy)
V = 0.5N (Victor has half of Noel's).
You can substitute T = 6 into V = 3T to get V = 3(6) = 18 for Victor.
Now we need Noel. N = V/0.5, so N is 18/0.5 = 36 stickers.
T = 6
V = 18
N = 36
Or, we have 2 equations for V, so 3T = 0.5N and therefore N = 3T/0.5.
N = 3(6)/0.5 = 36 also.
