Both “ a staycation” and “ staycation” are correct, but the are used in slightly different contexts.
- With “a”( indefinite article) You would use “a” before “ Staycation” when you are talking about a general or any staycation. For example:
I’m planning a staycation for this summer.
A staycation can be a great way to relax without traveling.
2. Without the article. You would use “ staycation” without an article when you’re referring to the concept in a more general or abstract way.
Staycation is becoming increasingly popular.
I like the idea of staycation.
