to be between 1/3 and 87/100
the number in decimal form must be between .333... and .87000...
such as any decimal with a beginning such as .4, .5, .6 or .7
plug the fraction into a calculator to get its decimal equivalent, then see if it's between .333... and .87000...
here's some common fractions that are in between: 3/8, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4,
3/8= .375
1/2 = .5
2/3 = .666...
3/4 = .75
