Anywhere your line crosses the x-axis, the y-value is zero...so to find the x-intercept, plug 0 in for y.
2x - 4(0) = 8
2x = 8
x = 4
So you have a point at (4,0)
Anywhere the line crosses the y-axis, the x-value is zero...so to find the y-intercept, plug 0 in for x.
2(0) - 4y = 8
-4y = 8
y = -2
So you have a point at (0,-2)
You have your two points to make your line!
