How long will it take the object to reach 9 meters algebra problem

The table below shows the height h(t) in meters of an object that is thrown off the top of a building t seconds after it is thrown

How long will it take the object to reach 9 meters?

The height seems to be increasing with time. Are these distances from the top of the building? How can H(t) reach 9 meters when H(0.5) is 78.725 and the function increases from there?
