Set f(x)=0 and solve for the x-intercepts/zeroes:
f(x) = x2-4x+3
0 = x2-4x+3
0 = (x-1)(x-3)
By the Zero Product Property, x=1 and x=3 are solutions to the equation, so (1,0) and (3,0) are the x-intercepts. These are the points at which the function crosses the x-axis (or the line f(x)=0 aka. y=0).
Hope this helped!
