HELP! I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS:

If a data set has a mean of 25 and a standard deviation of 3, what is a number that is in between the 1st and 2nd standard deviation to the right of the mean?

If the standard deviation is 3, then two standard deviations is 6.

The mean is 25, so 1 standard deviation to the right is 25 + 3 = 28 and two standard deviations to the right is 25 + 6 = 31. Any number between 28 and 31 will be between the 1st and 2nd standard deviation to the right from the mean.
