To find surface area of a cylinder you need to know three formulas and then you add them together.
1 area of a circle
2 circumference of a circle
3 area of a rectangle
a cylinder had two circles. One on top and one on bottom. Find the area of those circles.
a cylinder also has a height.
multiply the height to the circumference of the cylinder .
Add up all the calculations and voila! You got the surface area of a cylinder.
for radius, remember to take half the diameter of 1/2 centimetres.
follow this and see if you get the answer. Else message me.
