Math and science made easy - learn from a retired engineer
Let "p" represent the number of pizza rolls in the combo meal
And let "m" represent the number of mini hot dogs in the combo meal
If you want to know the number of calories in the combo meal consisting of pizza rolls and mini hot dogs then you would multiply the number of pizza rolls (p) by 70 and the number of mini hot dogs (m) by 60 and add them up so:
70p + 60m = 1140
Also, since there are "twice as many mini hotdogs as there are pizza rolls" then you would double the number of pizza rolls to get the number of mini hot dogs so:
2p = m
Those are the two equations in the system of equations and the variables are defined above as well.

And of course, if (2p = m) then we solve for ((70p + 120p) = 1140) to get p = 6. If p = 6, then m = 12. Check our results, and all is well.04/18/23
