Point E is the midpoint of the median BD in the triangle ABC. The line AE intersects the side BC at the point F. Find CF if BF is 7.

The answer is 14, but so far I have not been able to determine why (or how)? Here is an indication that CF is always twice BF. desmos.com/calculator/rzwyjwj3sf Drag the vertices of the triangle to any position to see that CF/BF is always 2.
