In the afternoon, 1/4 of the seashells in Container B were moved to Container A. There were 180 more seashells in Container A than in Container B in the end. How many more seashells were there in Container A than in Container B at first?

1/5 of 550 = 110

550-110 = 440 in A temporarily

410+110 = 520 in B temporarily

then

520-520/4 = 520-130= 390 in B at the end

440+130 = 570 in A at the end

570 = 390+180

A has 180 more in the end

550+410 = 960 = total at first

at first, A had 140 more seashells than B

550-410 = 140 sea shells = The Answer
