When you have to find zeros, it means that you are finding the roots of the equation. So here in this equation, you can factor x2 + 7x+12
x2+7x+12
= x2 + 4x + 3x + 12
=x(x + 4) +3(x + 4)
=(x+3) (x+4)
Now equate the factors to zero to find the roots.
x+3 = 0 or x+4 = 0
x = -3 or x = -4
