Find the zeros of the equation y = x2 + 7x + 12 by using a method of your choice (i.e. graphing, factoring, completing the square, quadratic formula, etc.)

When you have to find zeros, it means that you are finding the roots of the equation. So here in this equation, you can factor x2 + 7x+12

x2+7x+12

= x2 + 4x + 3x + 12

=x(x + 4) +3(x + 4)

=(x+3) (x+4)

Now equate the factors to zero to find the roots.

x+3 = 0 or x+4 = 0

x = -3 or x = -4
