Burgers cost $2.10,
Hot dogs cast $11.10, and
Soda cost $.85
21 people buy either a burger or dog, and every one of them buys a soda, and
total cost is $51.75
How many burgers and dogs were bought?

I am revising the numbers that seem wrong but I do not know.
If the hotdog cost is $1.10, the cost of a soda is $0.85 and the total sales are $51.95 we would do the following to solve the problem.
Let the number of burgers purchased be x and the number of hotdogs purchased be y. The number of sodas purchased would be x + y. The total number of purchases are:
x + y = 21
y = 21 - x
The total of all sales is:
2.1x + 1.1y + 0.85(x+y) = 51.95
Substituting for y:
