Gordan and Harry had 340 marbles altogether. After Gordan gave away 2/5 of his marbles and Harry gave away 20 of his marbles, they had the same number of marbles left. How many marbles did Harry have in the end?

h=340-g

g- 2g/5 = h-20

3g/5 = h-20 = 340-g-20 = 320-g

8g/5 = 320

g = 320(5/8)

g = 200 =Gordon's marbles originally

h = 340-200 = 140 = Harold's marbles originally

g-2g/5 = 3g/5 =3(200)/5 = 120 = Gordon's marbles now

h-20 = 140-20 = 120 = Harold's marbles now
