Since I come from Africa, I will be able to answer this: This statement is true.

1. Africa has a warm climate, even in winter, and has endless warm, sunny days, which is ideal for solar energy.
2. Using solar energy helps reduce the burning of coal, therefore it helps the impact of climate change. There are no toxic emissions going into the atmosphere which is a definite cause of climate change.
3. Solar energy is becoming less expensive and is used all over South Africa to generate electricity.
