Dallas has $5.60 in dimes and nickles in her car. The number of nickles is four more than the number of dimes. How many of each type of coin does she have?

5n+10d = 560

5(4+d) +10d = 560

5d+10d = 540

d = 540/15 = 180/5 = 36 dimes

n = 40 nickels

5(40)+10(36

= 200+360 = 560
