days and machines are inversely related
m= k/d where k= the constant of proportionality = 84
m = 84/d
d = 84/m
7 =84/12
6 = 84/14
a common mistake would be to treat it as a direct relation
with
m =kd
7 = k(12
k = 7/12
m =(7/12)14 = 7(7)/6 = 49/6 = 8 1/6 machines needed
but not true
