Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
1600 = 750 + 850
850 = .07S
S =850/.07
= about $12,142.86 over $1,050
sales are needed of 12,142.86+1,050
= $13,192.86

asked 02/20/23What equation do I need to put together to solve the following problem:
A local salesman receives a base salary of $750 monthly. He also receives a commission of 7% on all sales over $1050. How much would he have to sell in a month if he needed to have a monthly income of $1600?
He would need to sell $ (answer here) to reach his needed monthly income needs. (Round answer to the nearest penny. Do not use commas!)
