if it's a uniform distribution
then P (Not 12<x<24) = 1- 24-12)/(74-12) = 1-12/62= 1-6/31= 25/31 = about 81%
if normal distribution, a larger percentage
then x bar = (74-12)/2= 62/2= 31
find z score and calculate the area under the curve
z= (x-xbar)/s, where s= standard deviation
all depends on the table which didn't show up
