you can use them to calculate the slope m

Use the slope you get in the Slope Intercept Form

y = mx +b

Use a set of the points you given to calculate b

(-2,-2) and (5,12) have a line through them

with slope =

rise over run

= change in y over change in x

= (12+2)/(5+2) = 14/7 = 2

= y-12 = 2(x-5) is the equation in point slope form

or use the other point

then

y+2 = 2(x+2) also in point slope form

or

2x -y = -2 in standard form
