= 3 1/4 = 13/4 cups

Nene triples the sugar: 3 x 13/4 = 39/4 = 3x3.25 = 9.75 = 9 3/4 cups of sugar

subtract 2.46 cups

9.75 - 2.46 = 7.29 cups left
