The school took $105 on the second day by selling 9 adult tickets and 8 student tickets. What is the price each of one adult ticket and one student ticket?

problem 2:The senior classes at High School A rented and filled 2 vans and 2 buses with 326 students. High School B rented and filled 11 vans and 6 buses with 233 students. Each van and each bus carried the same number of student. Find the number of students in each an and in each bus.

9a + 8s = 105

9(39-10s) +8s = 105

-90s +8s = 105 -39(9)

-82s = 105-351= -246

s = 246/82 = $3 for student ticket

a = 39-10s = 39-30 = $9 for adult ticket

a+s = 9+3 = $12 for one of each

v+b= 163

11v+6b=2331 senors at school B

6v+6b=6(326)=1956

5v=2331-1956=375

v=375/5=75 students in each van

b=163-75=88 students in each bus

the problem as written had no solution, except a negative number which made no sense, so use 2331 instead of 233
