Therefore, S + D = 11
Next we will set up an equation that solves for solving for S, we get S = 11 - D
We will also set up the equation 4S + 2D = 36
substituting the value for S, we get 4(11 - D) + 2D = 36
expanding, we get 44 - 4D + 2D = 36 which then turns into 44 - 2D = 36
solving for this we get we get D = 4. Therefore, S = 7
Proof: (4 x 2) + (7 x 4) = 36
Therefore, there are 4 ducks and 7 sheep.
