-x^2 transformed to -2(x+2)^2 -1
involves a horizontal shift left by 2
and a vertical shift down by 1
and a vertical stretch by a factor of 2
the original vertex was (0,0)
the transformed vertex is (-2,-1)
the original y intercept was (0,0)
the transformed y intercept is -2(2^2)-1 = -8-1=-9
the graph though has a y intercept of -5
it isn't stretched by a factor of -2, it's not stretched all
the equation of the graph is G(x)=-(x+2)^2 -1
also you left out the exponent of 2 for -2(x+2)^2 -1
you have only -2(x+2) -1 which is a straight line, not a parabola as in the graph
