Half of an angles supplement is 10 more than its complement. What are the two angles?

Hi Vincent,
let’s call the angle x
supplement:
x + s = 180
s = 180 - x
compliment:
x + c = 90
c = 90 - x
if half its supplement is equal to 10 more than its compliment, we can put that into an equation…
1/2 s = c + 10
1/2(180-x) = (90-x) + 10
solve for x:
90-1/2x = 100-x
1/2x = 10
x = 20
the angle is 20 degrees
