Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
AS NOBEL laureate in economics Milton Friedman once said "TANSTAAFL" "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch (or tutoring session)" Something is in it for the teacher. And an offsetting cost to the student. But life is a tradeoff. The major lesson of mathematical micoeonomics. Just some tradeoffs worse than others. And paying a tutor may be cheaper in the end than a "free" teacher's tutoring. It can go either way. Some budget constraints lead to a "2nd best" solution.
