x = 2-y
x^2 + y^2 = 25
x^2 = 25-y^2
x = +/-sqr(25-y^2)
sqrx = y +2
x = (y+2)^2 = y^2 +4y +4
1/x = y
x = 1/y
y^2 =x^3
x = cube root of y^2 = y^(2/3)
among other endless equations where you isolate x on one side
