Part 2: Write an equation that shows the amount of money earned, S, for working y hours of overtime. **Remember to include in the equation the amount of money earned from working 40 hours.**

Part 3: MaryBeth earned $380 in 1 week. How many hours (regular plus overtime) did she work? Justify your answer.

Part 3: She worked 40 hours at 8 dollars and the remaining at 12 per hour. Those 40 hours get her 8*40=320 dollars. The remaining 380-320=60 dollars is from overtime. 60/12=5, so she worked 5 hours overtime.
