Since the two numbers are in the ratio 2:3, one of the numbers is 2x and the other is 3x, for some positive number x.  

 

So, (2x)(3x) = 600

 

               6x² = 600

 

                 x² = 100

 

                 x = 10

 

The numbers are 20 and 30.
