Graphing a word problem.

Question

I'm confused on how to graph the following word problem. You sell small candles for $4 each and large candles for $6 each. You collect $144 selling a total of 28 candles. How many candles of each type did you sell.

S+L = 28

4S+6L = 144

4S+4L =4(28) = 112

subtract

2L = 144-112 = 32

L = 32/2 = 16 Large

S =28-16 = 12 Small

4(12)+6(16)

= 48+96 = 144
