Let P1: (x1, y1) = (7,1) and P2: (x2, y2) = (x,4)
Slope m = 3 / 4 = (Change in y) / (Change in x) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
Therefore: 3 / 4 = (4 - 1) / (x - 7)
Cross-multiply: 3 (x - 7) = 12 and solve to find x.
(4 - 1) / (x - 7) = 3/4
Cross multiply to get 3(x - 7) = 12
Solve for x.
