The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle is P=2L+2W.P=2L+2W. The perimeter of the rectangle below is 24 ft.
What is the width of the rectangle?

Width = 4
L+W = half the perimeter = 24/2 = 12
W = 12-8 = 4 feet Wide
2L + 2W = Perimeter
2(8) + 2(4) = 16+8= 24 feet
