F(x) = x^2
G(x) = (x-2)^2 + 3
up three, add 3
right two, subtract 2 from x
general formula for a standard upward opening parabola is
y=(x-h)^2 + k where (h,k) is the vertex or minimum point
for F(x) the vertex is the origin, (0,0). y=(x-0)^2 + 0
for G(x) the vertex is (2,3) (x-2)^2 + 3
from (0,0) to (2,3) is a shift to the right two, and up by three
(0+2, 0+3) = (2,3)
