algebra PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

use the distributive property to remove the parenthesis on the equation: 5(x-4)+3x-9x=6

hi, so in order to do this problem, you use the distributive property by multiplying the outside number, 5 to each term inside the parenthesis, in this case, 5 times X and 5 times 4. ie. 5(x-4) = 5x - 20. Does that make sense?
