as a system?

20x =5

x= 1/4

5/4 +y =7

y=7-5/4 = 23/4

UNLESS maybe you meant the 2nd equation to be

20x+2y =7 then

5x+y=7

20x+4y=28

2y=21

y=10.5

x=(7-y)/5

x=(7-10.5)/5=-3.5/5=-.7

use substitution, elimination or matrix algebra
