a group of 35 students and adults are going to the movies. Each student ticket cost $6.25 and each adult ticket costs 10.75

You left out a part of the questions; however, I am going to give you what I can. Assuming you are supposed to be writing 2 equations for this and creating a system of linear equations it would be solved like this:
The first equation should be for the total number of tickets:
35(total tickets) = x(students going to the movie) + y(adults going to the movie)
The second equation will be for the total price of the tickets.
6.25x + 10.75y = Total cost of tickets.
