The left and right page numbers of an open book are two consecutive integers whose sum is 401. Find these page numbers.

2x = 401- 1 = 400

x = 200; x + 1 = 201

Since the nos. are consecutive, can also just do 401/2 to find "middle" value of 200 1/2. So the two pages must be 200 and 201.
