Are you rotating 90o clockwise or counterclockwise?
By convention, it probably means 90o counterclockwise, so I'll assume that.
See the table below for all the transformations. 90o counterclockwise says (-y,x). That means you take the original (x,y) and change it to (-y,x)
A: 3,3 becomes (-3,3)
R: 5,7 (-7,5)
M: 7,5 (-5,7)
Y: 5,1 (-1,5)
Transformation | Formula |
Translation | (x+a,y+b) |
Reflection over y-axis (x=0) | (-x, y) |
Reflection over x-axis (y=0) | ( x, -y) |
Rotation 180o around (0,0) | (-x, -y) |
Reflection over y=x (upward diagonal) | ( y, x) |
Rotation 90o counterclockwise around (0,0) | (-y, x) |
Rotation 90o clockwise around (0,0) | (y, -x) |
Reflection over y=-x (downward diagonal) | (-y, -x) |
