You first need to put the original equation in slope-intecept form to find its slope.
4x−3y=5
Solve for y
-3y = -4x+5
y = (4/3)x -(5/3) This line has a slope of 4/3
Use point - slope form to write an equation of a line with slop 4/3 that goes through (-9, 8)
y - 8 = (4/3)(x- -9)
y = (4/3)x + 12 +8
y = (4/3)x +20
