1/8th off of $12 would be a discount of 1/8 x 12, or 12/8 = 3/2 = 1 1/2 or $1.50. Each discounted ticket would be $12 - $1.50 = $10.50.
Could also change 1/8th to its decimal of 0.125 and use that in the calculation.
Another way: If you take off 1/8th of the price, you're left with 7/8ths. 7/8 x 12 (or 0.875 x 12) = $10.50.
With 25 in the group, the total cost is 25 x $10.50.
