How do I make this equation into a real life problem by graphing? ty

Draw the ellipse given by 9x² + 16y²= 144 Identify the foci.

I don’t quite understand what you mean by “real life problem”? You can put it into the standard form of the equation for an Ellipse: x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 =1. With respect to the fact that the coefficients are all perfect squares, you could divide the entire equation by 144 as a start. Did you want to make a problem that applies to a real life situation like a planetary orbit or something?
