Question

Cups are sold 6 to a package and plates are sold 8 to a package. If you want to have the same number of each item for a party, what is the least number of packages of each you need to buy?

Answer 1

4 of 6 pack of cups = 24 cups

3 of 8 pack of plates = 24 plates

6=3x2

8=2^3

LCM = 3x2^3= 24
